#dogs #dog — If you already appreciate dogs and how they can be trained, then you will also like my Motivational WebTV episode featuring my scuba diving with dolphins. After all, who doesn’t like dolphins? This encounter with the dolphins was a very special experience for me indeed but the true fact is that this type of life experience and self growth is very accessible for many people.
There are several places in the world where people can swim with dolphins at specialized centers where they train captive dolphins. I can think of one place in the Florida Keys (where I had my first dolphin experience) and another near Cozumel, Mexico. Even if you don’t know how to swim, there are programs where you can still meet the dolphins in just waist deep water which will still result in self growth in my opinion.
If you want to get the ultimate experience with these magnificent creatures like I did, then you have to do the dolphin dive in Freeport, Bahamas which is the only place in the world that I know of where you can scuba dive with them in their natural habitat underwater out in the ocean. Of course, you must be a certified scuba diver in order to participate in this particular experience.
In both the scuba diving and swimming with dolphin experiences, the dolphins are supervised under the eyes of trainers and the dolphins go through several routines or tricks much like they were big dogs in the water. You will get that feeling for sure when you interact with them as the trainers use food as the main reward and positive reinforcement.
I’ve done this specific dolphin dive twice so far and would certainly recommend it as a top self growth experience for anybody who can swim. And for those who currently can’t swim but has the physical capabilities to learn, I would say that this experience is worth training for as one of the end goals of first learning how to swim by enrolling in local swim classes and then eventually scuba diving certification courses. Scuba diving with dolphins is very accessible to those who are willing to learn what is required for it and the rewards are priceless. You will see just how much in common our beloved dogs have with dolphins.
