Good idea, but can I make a suggestion? Carry bags with you to the grocer so you don't have to take plastic bags every time. And seek out dog poop bags made of easily biodegradable materials like cornstarch. It would be so much kinder to our environment!

Yes, my dogs bark at many of the commercials with animals too. This shows that they can actually see what's on the TV screen well enough to make out the animals.

My two dogs have visited other homes very briefly and of course has gone to indoor obedience classes as well as to the vet. What I do before I bring them to an indoor place that is not home, is to take them outside either to a dog park or at least to some bushes or trees where they will likely do something. Then hopefully they will not have to go once we visit an indoor place. Of course, it is good to still carry around a plastic bag just in case as well as to keep watching them. This is not always practical but we don't tend to visit that many other indoor places anyway.
